Pork Liver Delight: Ready in a Snap!

To start off, you’ll need ingredients such as pork liver, garlic, lard, flour, black pepper, butter, wine, and salt for seasoning. The process involves cleaning and slicing the liver, coating it with flour and pepper, and sautéing it with garlic and butter until cooked through. The addition of wine creates a creamy sauce that enhances the dish’s flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 800g pork liver
  • 8 cloves of garlic (1 clove/100 g of liver)
  • 2 tablespoon of lard
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 dl wine
  • salt at the end, when serving

Instructions:

1. Preparation for Pork Liver Delight:
Wash and drain the pork liver thoroughly, ensuring there is no excess water. Clean the liver by removing the silverskin membrane and then slice it into strips or dice of about thumb thickness. Sprinkle some pepper over the liver, then add 1 tablespoon of flour and mix until evenly coated.

Clean and crush 8 cloves of garlic (1 clove for every 100 grams of liver). Garlic is a vital ingredient for softening the liver and enhancing flavour.

2. Cooking Pork Liver Delight:
Grease and heat a frying pan with 2 tablespoons of lard over high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the liver strips or dices and brown them for approximately 6 minutes or until they change colour, stirring occasionally.

Afterward, add the crushed garlic to the pan, followed by the butter, and continue to stir and brown for an additional 4 minutes.

Check the middle of the a liver strips/dice; they should be cooked by now. If not, let them fry for another few minutes until fully cooked.

Next, lower the heat and pour 1 dl of wine into the pan while stirring.

Cover the pan with a lid and allow the liver to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has reduced and become creamy. Remove the pan from the stove.

3. Serving Pork Liver Delight:
