Flavorful Turkey Fennel Fusion: Klara’s Signature Dish

Ingredients:
- 1 kg boneless turkey leg
- 2 big fennels
- 5 scallions or spring onions
- a bunch of parsley stems
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 100g butter
- 1 dl cooking cream
- 1 dl sour cream
- 1 teaspoon of marjoram
- 1 teaspoon of fennel
- 1 teaspoon of sweet curry (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preparing the ingredients:
Wash and thoroughly drain the boneless turkey legs, ensuring they are free of excess water. Trim any excess fat from the meat, then cut it into cubes approximately the thickness of a thumb.
Next, clean and chop 2 large fennels, a crucial ingredient for enhancing the dish’s flavor. Finally, chop 5 scallions and a bunch of parsley stems to add an additional layer of flavor.
2. Cooking Flavorful Turkey Fennel Fusion:
Grease a wok with olive oil and heat it. Then, add the turkey leg cubes and brown them over high heat until golden, approximately 5 minutes.
When all the water evaporated and the meat is golden, lower the heat and add the chopped fennels to brown. Stir & brown for 5 minutes, then add the butter.
Stir continuously until the butter melts and the volume of the fennels reduces by half. Then, pour 1 dl of water into the pan, cover it with a lid, and allow the fennels and meat to simmer until they soften, about 15 minutes. Add more water if necessary to prevent it from drying out stirring occasionally.
After spreading the spices and all your chopped herbs, including scallions, parsley stems, marjoram, etc., allow them to soften until there is no water left. Then, stir and brown for an additional 2 minutes to enhance the flavors.
Finally, stir in the cooking cream followed by the sour cream and bring the stew to a simmer. Then, remove your pan from the stove.
3. Serving Flavorful Turkey Fennel Fusion:
Serve it plain with bread, rice or alongside red lentil pasta, as I did.
